Jan 12th 2022Train to Teach event in Christchurch on 18th JanuaryWe are pleased to be hosting a local "train to teach" event which will be attended by other local SCITT providers (Poole SCITT & Wessex Schools Training Partnership) as well as ourselves. The event will take place between 4.30pm and 6.30pm at the Stour Campus, Twynham School, Sopers Lane, Christchurch, BH23 1JF. Feb 23rd 2021BPD still recruiting for September 2021We are still open for recruitment for September 2021 start in the following subjects: Maths, Sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), MFL (French, Spanish or German), Design & Technology, Geography, History, R.E (Religious Education) and Business Studies. We continue to hold "online" open mornings according to the calendar which has already been published. The next events are on 2nd March and 25th March. We shall also be attending the virtual "Train to teach" events for Winchester and Southampton which are scheduled for 25th February and 24th March respectively. Nov 2nd 2020Open Mornings to move "online" from November 5thDue to the government's latest COVID restrictions, we will have to move our open mornings planned for 16th November and 2nd December "online". We shall be contacting those who have indicated an interest in attending, and will offer them the option of either delaying until after Christmas when we hope that we shall be able to resume face-to-face events, or joining an "online" open morning which will be held using a video conferencing platform. These "online" open mornings will also be open to any other interested candidates who are invited to contact us through this website or using this link to book a place at one of the online events
Oct 27th 2020Application cycle 2020-2021 now underwayThe application cycle for September 2021 start has now started. Applications may be made via the UCAS system, or by following the link from the DFE Apply page. In addition to our normal suite of subjects offered, we are pleased to announce that we have added two new subject lines for 2021; Business Studies and Drama. Potential candidates who wish to find out more information are invited to follow this link to the DFE Find Postgraduate Teacher Training page, where there are more details about each of our subject programmes along with details of course codes. We are holding some recruitment open mornings during the Autumn and Winter months, which will include a presentation about our teacher training programmes, and the opportunity to ask questions and to receive support in preparing an application. Regrettably due to the current COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to include a tour of the school as part of the open morning, and meetings will be strictly limited to comply with current requirements.
